Horsebox 1
This place is Horsebox 1. It's exactly what it sounds like, a converted horsebox. It's at St Owen's Cross in Herefordshire, on the grounds of Pengethley Manor. It's detached, so you've got your own space, but it looks out over the manor's land.
It sleeps four. There's one bedroom with a double bed, and then a sofa bed in the main living space. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, but it's a converted horsebox so the space is clever rather than spacious. If you're after quirky, this is it.
You can bring one dog. There's parking right next to it. The heating and electricity are included. There's WiFi and a TV.
On site, there's a heated outdoor swimming pool you can book for private slots. There's also an electric vehicle charger if you need it.
The location is quiet and rural. You're surrounded by about 15 acres of National Trust parkland. It's a good base for the Wye Valley. Hereford is probably 20 minutes by car. The river is great for kayaking. Goodrich Castle is close by, and Symonds Yat is worth seeing for the views.
