Oak Tree Cottage is in Ruardean Woodside. It's on the edge of the Forest of Dean. You get good views over the countryside from the bedrooms.
The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's 4 Star, so it's well kept and comfortable. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine.
The garden is enclosed and gets the sun most of the day. It's a decent size with a patio. There's a BBQ you can use. The parking is on site.
The stairs inside are typical cottage stairs. They're not the worst, but they are a bit steep and turn a corner.
There's a games room in the outbuilding. It's got a pool table and table football. It's useful if the weather turns.
The local pub is about a mile away. The shop is about the same. You'll need to drive. For a bigger shop, Coleford is about ten minutes by car.
You can walk straight into the woods from the gate. It's good for dog walking. We allow up to two dogs. The garden fence is secure.
For days out, you've got the Forest of Dean itself. Puzzlewood is about 15 minutes away. The Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail is popular. Symonds Yat is maybe 20 minutes for the river views.
Monmouth is half an hour. Gloucester with the cathedral and docks is about 35 minutes. The Wye Valley area is all within easy reach for walking.
All bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. Wi-Fi works fine.
If you book over Christmas, we put the decorations up and there's a real tree.
