This is Honey Cottage. It's in Newland, which is out west, near the border between England and Wales. The cottage is next to our main house, but you've got your own space and a garden. It looks out over fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well equipped and comfortable.
The stairs inside are a bit steep. Just worth noting. There's a woodburning stove for the cooler months. We leave logs for you to get started.
You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed, but it's not Fort Knox, so keep an eye on them.
It's a good spot for getting out. The Wye Valley is all around you. There's a decent pub in the village, about a ten minute walk. It's won awards. For shopping, you'll need to drive to Coleford, about two miles.
You're right on the edge of the Forest of Dean. Good for walking and mountain biking. Puzzlewood is a twenty minute drive, it's an unusual old forest. You can be in Chepstow, with its castle and racecourse, in about twenty five minutes. Monmouth is about the same. Hereford is just over half an hour away if you want a cathedral city.
Facilities: everything on that list is there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and highchair if you need them.
