The Garden House
The Garden House is on our property, near the village of The Narth. It's a detached lodge. We live in the main house next door. You'll have your own private patio, but the big lawn out the front is shared with us, though we're not out there much. The view from the windows is over fields. There are two horses in the next field.
It sleeps four. There's a proper double bedroom, a room with a single bed, and a sofa bed in the living room. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The bathroom is a ground floor wet room, which is good if you have mobility issues. The shower is powerful.
The kitchen has what you'd need: dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a TV and parking right outside.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a secure garden for them. Please just clean up after them.
The summerhouse in the garden is a nice spot to sit in the evening. We put a couple of chairs in there.
It's a quiet spot. The nearest shop, pub, or restaurant is in Monmouth, about six miles away. You'll need a car.
For walking, you can get down to the River Wye from here. The Wye Valley is all around. Symonds Yat is a short drive. Monmouth has the castle and things to see. Tintern Abbey is about 15 minutes by car. Goodrich Castle is similar.
The Forest of Dean is 20-25 minutes drive. Puzzlewood and Clearwell Caves are there if you're looking for a day out.
