Red Lodge
Red Lodge is near Monmouth in Monmouthshire. It's my place. It's a detached lodge in my garden. There's a fence around your bit, so you get your own privacy.
It sleeps two, in one bedroom. There's a shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's an open plan layout, so the living, cooking, and sleeping areas are all in one space. Good for a couple, but not if you want separate rooms.
You're down a quiet lane here. The nearest shop, pub, or restaurant is about six miles away in Monmouth, so you'll need a car. The roads are good though.
The Wye Valley path is on the doorstep. You can walk straight from the property down to the River Wye and into the valley.
Monmouth town is interesting, full of history. Tintern Abbey is about seven miles. Goodrich Castle is six miles. The Forest of Dean is about ten miles away, which has the Puzzlewood and Clearwell Caves. All of that is within a 30 minute drive.
Your garden area has a patio and a barbecue. There's also a summerhouse at the top of the garden. It's a good spot to sit in the evening.
Facilities: parking on the drive, TV, bedding and towels are included, and there's a shower. You can bring up to two dogs.
You can book the lodge together with The Garden House next door if you're a larger group.
