This is Bridge Cottage. It's next to the River Wye in Lower Redbrook. The cottage is stone, detached, and from the early 1800s.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. The bed linen and towels are included.
The main thing is the outside space. There's a decking area right by the water. The garden behind it is wild, with little streams running through it. It's not a manicured lawn, it's more natural. Very peaceful.
It's on the edge of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Good for walking straight from the door. The Forest of Dean is just over the river, maybe a ten minute drive.
There's a pub literally next door, five yards away. They do food, and you can get free Wi-Fi from them when they're open. The shop is a few minutes walk up the lane.
Inside, it's open plan on the ground floor. There's a wood burning stove, which is good for colder evenings. It has a washing machine, dishwasher, and a TV. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
For days out, Tintern Abbey is about ten minutes by car. Monmouth and Chepstow are within fifteen minutes. Symonds Yat is also close, maybe twenty minutes. Ross-on-Wye is roughly half an hour.
