Bridge Cottage

Bridge Cottage is in Lower Redbrook, right by the River Wye. It's a stone cottage, built in the early 1800s, and it's detached so you're not sharing any walls. The garden is more wild than neat, with streams running through it. There's a deck out the back overlooking the river.

It sleeps four people in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's clean and it's well looked after. The stairs are steep and a bit narrow though, just so you know.

The local pub is literally next door, about five yards away. There's a shop a few minutes' walk up the hill. Tintern Abbey is about a ten minute drive, and Monmouth is fifteen minutes. Chepstow and its castle are about twenty minutes away. Good for walking, with the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean on the doorstep.

For facilities, it's got a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.

If you're planning walks or days out, these sites are useful: Forest of Dean & Wye Valley, National Trust Wye Valley, and Wye Valley AONB.
