The Nook is in Whitecroft, which is in the Forest of Dean. It's a small end-terrace place, tucked back off the main road. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have a dog or kids.
It says it sleeps four, but there's one bedroom, so that's two people in the bedroom and two on the sofa bed in the living room. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-kept. Everything is on the ground floor, which is handy. There's one bathroom with a shower.
It's got a wood burning stove for evenings, and there's an electric vehicle charger on the side of the house. Parking is right outside.
The village has a pub about a five minute walk away. It's a proper local, does good food. You're right on the edge of the forest, so you can walk straight out from the door. Good for cycling too, and there's bike storage.
Clearwell Caves are about a five minute drive. The Sculpture Trail at Beechenhurst is great, maybe ten minutes by car. For a day out, you can drive into Monmouth or down to Tintern Abbey on the River Wye, both within half an hour. Symonds Yat is about twenty minutes away for the views.
