Cider Press Cottage is in Oldcroft, Gloucestershire. It's on the edge of the Forest of Dean. You're in our garden, really. We live in the main house but the cottage is detached and private, with its own enclosed garden. The views from there are just fields and trees.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy with a few of you. One is a wet room on the ground floor. The whole place is wheelchair accessible, with wide doors and grab rails in the right places. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not just a basic box.
Oldcroft village is about half a mile down the lane. There's a shop and a couple of pubs there that do meals. You can walk it if you don't mind a bit of a hill on the way back.
The Forest is right on the doorstep for walking or cycling. You can borrow our Ordnance Survey map. The Forest of Dean website has good information on trails. For a day out, Tintern Abbey ruins are about a 20 minute drive. The English Heritage site has the details. The Dean Forest Railway in Lydney is a short trip, good if you've got kids with you. Chepstow, Monmouth, and Ross-on-Wye are all within half an hour by car.
We allow up to three pets. The garden is fully enclosed so dogs can't wander. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
