The Stable is in Whitminster, on a quiet working farm. It's a detached cottage. It used to be a cider press, then it was stables for the horses. You can see some of the old press timber inside. It's cosy and detached, so you're on your own.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfortable, not luxury. The stairs are fine.
You can bring up to three dogs. The garden is enclosed, so that's handy. There's a patio and a BBQ. Parking is on the drive, and there's an electric car charger if you need it.
The farm is working, so you'll see cattle and sometimes horses in the fields. It's peaceful.
There's a shop and a pub half a mile away, about a ten minute walk. The pub does food. Gloucester is about twenty minutes by car. The WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre is very close, maybe five minutes drive. It's good for a walk and to see the birds.
You can get to Cheltenham for the races in under half an hour. The Cotswolds are on the doorstep. Stroud is about twenty minutes away. Bath is further, but you can do it in just over an hour if the traffic's alright.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. There's a washing machine, WiFi, a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.
