The Stable
The Stable is on our farm in Whitminster. It's quiet here, you just get the cows and the birds for company. It's a detached building, used to be where we made cider and later kept horses. You can still see part of the old press in the beams. The conversion's tidy, nothing fancy. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is about right.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The stairs are a bit steep. There's an open plan living area. The kitchen has a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's also a cot and a highchair if you need them. You get your own enclosed garden with a patio and a BBQ. Parking's right outside, and there's an electric vehicle charger.
We allow up to three dogs. The garden is enclosed, but it's a working farm, so you need to keep them on a lead outside of it. There's a pub half a mile down the lane that does food. The local shop is about the same distance.
You're well placed to get around. Slimbridge Wetland Centre is about ten minutes by car. WWT Slimbridge is good if you like birds. Cheltenham is twenty minutes away for the shops or the races. Gloucester is fifteen minutes the other way, you can see the cathedral. The Cotswolds are on your doorstep, Stroud's a short drive. Bath is under an hour if you fancy it.
