Hacolo House is in Ryeford, just outside Stroud. It’s a detached house at the end of a lane, so it’s quiet. The garden backs onto the Cotswold Way footpath.
It sleeps twelve. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms. It’s a 5 Star property, which means it’s got a high spec. The main living space is on the lower ground floor. That’s where the big kitchen, dining area, and sitting area are. There’s a pool table and doors out to the garden.
Outside, there’s a hot tub and a sauna in a wooden cabin. The garden is enclosed. There’s parking for several cars.
Inside, the stairs are fine, but they’re a typical house staircase. The main bathroom has a roll-top bath. Three of the bedrooms have their own shower rooms.
You’re about a twenty minute walk along the canal towpath into Stroud town centre. There’s a good Saturday farmers’ market. The local pub is about a ten minute walk away.
For days out, you’re well placed. The National Trust Cotswolds pages are useful. Woodchester Mansion and Newark Park are both within half an hour. Cheltenham is about twenty five minutes by car. Gloucester Docks are about twenty minutes. You can get to the south end of the M5 in ten minutes if you need to head further out.
Facilities: it’s all included – bedding, towels, WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher. There’s a highchair and a stairgate. You can bring one well-behaved dog. Please keep it off the furniture.
