Orchard Barns are a pair of converted barns in Lower Wick, near Dursley. You'd be in Barn 1. It's detached from the main house but attached to the other holiday barn, Barn 2. They're separate units with their own front doors, so you have your own space.
It's all on one level, which is handy. Two bedrooms: one double with its own shower room, and a twin room. There's a family bathroom as well, so two bathrooms in total. It sleeps four. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well kept.
Outside is a fully enclosed courtyard with a table, chairs, and a BBQ. It's private. The barns are set in an orchard, so it's quiet and green.
The local pub is about a five minute walk. They do food. There are a few good farm shops and cafes within a five minute drive for coffee or lunch.
Location-wise, you're right on the edge of the Cotswolds. Stroud is 15 minutes away by car. It's got a good Saturday farmers' market and lots of independent shops. For a walk with a view, Coaley Peak is close by. The Cotswold Way passes right through there.
Within half an hour you've got Berkeley Castle, Slimbridge Wetland Centre, and Westonbirt Arboretum. Tetbury is close for antiques. You can get to Bath, Bristol, Cheltenham, or Gloucester in under an hour if you want a city day.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are provided. There's parking right next to the barn. No pets allowed.
