Orchard Barns

Orchard Barns is in Lower Wick, just outside Dursley. It's a converted barn, set on its own in an orchard.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both are doubles. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's all on one level, so no stairs. The place has a 4 Star rating. It's nice, not just basic. The living area is open plan.

Outside there's a fully enclosed courtyard with a table and chairs, and a barbecue. It's private.

The barn is attached to another holiday property, Orchard Barns 2. You can't hear them, but you'll see the other door. You can book both together if you're a larger group.

There's a pub about five minutes walk away. They do food. For groceries, there are a few farm shops with cafes within a five minute drive. Stroud is about fifteen minutes by car. They've got a good Saturday farmers market and independent shops.

For walks, you're on the edge of the Cotswolds. The Cotswold Way path runs close by. Coaley Peak viewpoint is a short drive and has good views over the Severn Vale. You can also walk along the local canals.

Berkeley Castle and Slimbridge Wetland Centre are very close. Westonbirt Arboretum is about a twenty minute drive. You can get to Cheltenham, Gloucester, or Bristol in well under an hour if you want a city day.

Facilities: everything you'd expect really. Washing machine, dishwasher, parking right outside, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets allowed.
