Wren Cottage

Wren Cottage is in Lydney, in the Forest of Dean. It's detached and sits at the end of a gravel drive. We've had no complaints about that.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms upstairs: a king size, a super king that's set up as twins, and a single. There's one bathroom, which is on the ground floor. It's got a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen and utility have the usual things: washing machine, dishwasher. The wifi is here, but it's the country, so it's fine for emails but don't expect to stream on ten devices.

There's an enclosed paddock at the back, separate from the garden. It's secure for dogs. You get two pets included. The garden itself is enclosed too. Across the drive there's an open field.

Lydney's got a few pubs and shops. It's a proper town for what you need. For a day out, the Dean Forest Railway is good if you like steam trains. The Sculpture Trail in the forest is a popular walk. For cycling, the Cannop Ponds area is about a 15 minute drive and has trails for all levels.

You're about a 20 minute drive from the River Wye for canoeing. Chepstow and its castle are over the bridge, maybe 25 minutes. Symonds Yat is maybe half an hour for the views and a pub lunch.

It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. Towels and bedding are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Parking is on the gravel drive.
