The cottage sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's small but comfortable. The ceilings are low in some parts because of the beams, so watch your head. The stairs are steep.
Blakeney has a local shop and a couple of pubs. The food is good. For a good walk nearby, the Speech House trails are a solid option. The Dean Forest Railway starts in Parkend, which is close by. The Dean Heritage Centre is worth a look if you're interested in the area.
You're on the edge of the Forest of Dean. It's good for walking and cycling. You can get to the Cotswolds Way easily. The river is good for fishing if that's your thing.
Further out, you can get to the Wye Valley, Tintern Abbey, and Symonds Yat within about 30 minutes. Chepstow and its castle are about a 20 minute drive. Bristol, Bath, and Cardiff are all doable for a day trip, but they're a bit over an hour away.
