So, this is 4 Greenhaye Cottages. It's in Arlingham, which is a loop of land sticking out into the River Severn. Very flat, very quiet. Feels a bit cut off in a nice way.
It sleeps six, three bedrooms. Two of them are on the first floor and share a bathroom. The third is up in the attic, it's a double with its own shower room. Those attic stairs are a bit tighter than the main ones, just so you know.
Downstairs, the back of the house opens right up with these big folding doors onto the garden. The garden is a good size, enclosed, mainly lawn. You can park off the road.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, everything works. There's a wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, that sort of thing. You can bring two dogs. Bedding and towels are provided.
The village shop and the pub are about a quarter of a mile away. The pub does food.
For getting out, you're right on the edge of that loop so there are good walks along the riverbank and the Severn Way. For a day out, Slimbridge Wetland Centre is very close. Berkeley Castle is about ten minutes away. You can be in Gloucester or Stroud in twenty minutes, Cheltenham in about half an hour. The National Trust has a few properties within range like Woodchester Mansion.
