A warm welcome awaits you at this cosy accommodation situated in the south wing of Tallentire Hall. Attention to detail is evident from the minute you step through the door. Tallentire Hall is a Grade II listed building dating back to 1590 with an adjacent tower believed to be dating back to 1290. The accommodation had been thoughtfully repaired and modernised with the current owners starting the project in 2016 when they bought the hall. For that romantic break there is a beautiful and sumptuous kingsize bed with microfibre pillows. There is a warm and inviting living room and dining room to relax in or why not sit outside and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the garden. Gardener’s Cottage can be booked along with Gamekeeper’s Cottage which sleeps five guests and is also located in the south wing which is ideal if you are looking for a family holiday but like that little bit of privacy. Tallentire Hall is peacefully located at the end of a private driveway accessed through large stone pillars. The gardens are beautiful too and guests can enjoy the large sunken garden with its abundance of wildlife where rabbits, pheasants and occasionally deer have been seen. For exploring Gardener’s Cottage is only 3 miles from Cockermouth with its many speciality shops and art galleries and for those feeling a little energetic the fells of the northern Lake District. Beach 6½ miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
Gardener’s Cottage can be booked together with Gamekeeper’s Cottage to accommodate up to 7 guests.
