Coed Mawr is in Betws y Coed. It's a detached cottage, double fronted. It's set on 15 acres, so you get a lot of space and views of the hills. There are public footpaths right from the gate.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place. We had it completely renovated in 2022 so the kitchen and bathrooms are modern, but it's still an old cottage so you get the stone walls and beams. The wood-fired hot tub is out in the garden.
You're just a short walk from Betws y Coed village centre. There are a few pubs that do food, some cafes, and small shops for basics. If you want a supermarket, you'll need to drive.
You're right in Snowdonia. The Marin bike trails at Gwydir Forest are basically on the doorstep. Swallow Falls is about three miles away. For walking, Llyn Elsi is close. There's also tree top climbing and a forest coaster ride just down the road.
If you're aiming for Snowdon, the Pen y Pass route is about ten miles away. The Llanberis path is a bit further, about sixteen miles. Zip World and Bounce Below at Llechwedd are a twenty minute drive.
Conwy is less than half an hour's drive. It's a walled town with a big castle you can't miss. They've also got the smallest house in Britain there.
In terms of what's here: there's parking, an electric vehicle charger, a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and a woodburning stove. The garden is enclosed. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
