Bron Elan

It's called Bron Elan. It's an end-terrace cottage in Dolwyddelan. The village is in Snowdonia, proper walking country. You get some good views of Moel Siabod from here.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not modern luxury. The stairs inside are steep and narrow. Cottage stairs.

The garden is down a path behind the other cottages. There's also a little raised patio area right outside the front, which gets the sun.

Inside, it's got the original feel. Exposed beams, an inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. That's nice in the colder months.

The village has a shop, a pub, and a restaurant, all about five minutes walk. Betws-y-Coed is five miles away for more pubs and shops.

For getting about, the train station is in the village. It goes to Betws-y-Coed and on to Blaenau Ffestiniog.

If you're here for the outdoors, you're in the right place. The Cwm Penamnen valley is right opposite the cottage for walks. Dolwyddelan Castle is up the road. For bigger days, Snowdonia National Park has everything. Blaenau Ffestiniog has the zip wire and mountain biking trails. The Ffestiniog steam railway runs from there to the coast.

For a day trip, Portmeirion is about forty minutes drive. The Llyn Peninsula beaches, like Harlech or Criccieth, are within half an hour. Llandudno is about forty minutes.

Facilities: there's a wood burner, WiFi, TV, and a shower. Bedding is included. You can bring two dogs.
