Bwthyn Meillion

This is Bwthyn Meillion. It's a bungalow near Penmachno, up in the mountains in Eryri National Park. You're on the side of the valley here, so the views are good. It looks out over the Machno Valley.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One bathroom. The place has a 4 Star rating. It's all on one level, which is useful. The doorways are wide and there's no step into the shower, so it works well if someone has mobility issues. There's parking right outside and an electric vehicle charger.

You can walk straight from the door into Gwydyr Forest. The path is right there. If you're into mountain biking, the Penmachno trailhead is just up the track. You don't need to put the bike on the car.

There's a local shop and a pub you can walk to. The pub does food. Betws-y-Coed is a short drive away for more places to eat.

You're well placed for days out. Yr Wyddfa, Snowdon, is about 25 minutes drive. For something different, Blaenau Ffestiniog has the underground zip lines and caverns. Bodnant Garden is stunning, especially in spring. The coast at Llandudno and Conwy is maybe half an hour. Conwy Castle is impressive.

Things here: it has a wood burner, a TV, wifi. There's a patio with a barbecue. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one. No pets allowed.
