Smithy Cottage is in Betws y Coed. It used to be the village blacksmith's workshop. It's a one-bedroom place, but it's big inside, especially the living room. You get two bathrooms, which is unusual for a cottage this size.
It sleeps two. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, but it's not a show home. The location is quiet, even though you can walk into the village centre in a few minutes.
The pub and a restaurant are about 300 yards away. There's a shop a bit further. You don't really need the car if you don't want to drive.
You can walk straight from the door into Gwydir Forest or up to Llyn Elsi. The riverside walk goes past the golf course and the old church. For bigger days out, you're right in Snowdonia. Visit Wales Snowdonia has general information.
Zip World Fforest is about a 15-minute drive if you fancy the treetop nets. Surf Snowdonia, the surfing lake, is maybe 25 minutes away by car.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, parking right outside, and a small garden area. Bedding is included. No pets.
If you're coming with another couple, the house next door (Smithy House) can be booked together with this cottage.
