Yr Hafod is in Trefriw, up in the Conwy valley. It's a detached stone cottage. It sleeps eight, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Actually, each bedroom has its own en-suite shower room, which is handy with a full house. It's got that 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
Outside, there's a garden and patio with a table. You can park right outside. There's a shed with bike racks if you bring cycles.
The cottage is warm, with a wood burner in the living room. It has Wi-Fi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
Trefriw is a quiet village. There's a shop with a post office, a good butchers, and a couple of friendly pubs. The Trefriw Woollen Mill is worth a look, it's still powered by water from the lake.
You're right on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. A short drive up the road is Llyn Crafnant, a beautiful lake. You can walk around it, or over to Llyn Geirionydd. At Geirionydd you can use kayaks and paddleboards sometimes.
Betws-y-Coed is about ten minutes drive one way. That's where you'll find the Tree Top Adventure, more shops and cafes. The other way, Llanrwst is five minutes away and has a bigger supermarket. The famous Marin Bike Trails are close by, and there are bike hire places in both towns.
For bigger days out, Zip World and Surf Snowdonia are within twenty minutes. The historic town of Conwy, with its castle and walls, is about twenty minutes drive. If you want the coast, Llandudno and Colwyn Bay are roughly half an hour away.
