Yr Hafod is in Trefriw, which is a village just outside Betws-y-Coed. It's a detached house on a quiet lane, with a garden at the back that gets the sun in the evening.
The house sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well kitted out and comfortable. It's modern inside, but it still feels like a cottage.
You're right on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. Out the back, you can just walk straight up onto the hills. If you want a flatter walk, Crafnant Lake is about a ten-minute drive. It's a nice spot for a walk and a picnic. You can hire kayaks or paddleboards on Geirionydd Lake which is connected to it.
In the village, there's a shop, a butchers, and a couple of pubs. The Trefriw Woollen Mill is worth a look, it's still powered by the river. Llanrwst is the nearest proper town for a bigger supermarket, about three miles.
For things to do, Betws-y-Coed is five minutes down the road. It's got cafes, restaurants, and shops. From there, you're about twenty minutes from Zip World or Surf Snowdonia. Conwy, with the castle and the quay, is about a twenty-minute drive the other way. The coast at Llandudno is maybe half an hour.
The house has a woodburner, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a shed with bike racks if you bring cycles. There's parking for two, maybe three cars if you're careful.
No pets allowed, I'm afraid.
