Llys Deulyn

Llys Deulyn is in Trefriw, up in the hills above the Conwy Valley. It's a terraced cottage but it feels bigger inside than you might think. There are two rooms downstairs, a living room and a dining room, but they're open to each other so it doesn't feel boxed in.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, and there are two bathrooms which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. The stairs are the main thing to know about. They're open tread, steep, and a bit narrow. Just take care on them.

You can hear the River Crafnant from the little garden. It's a two minute walk down the hill into the village centre. There are two pubs, a restaurant, a butcher, and a café. The Trefriw Woollen Mill is there too, it's been going for generations.

The cottage is good for dogs. We allow two. We leave out bowls, a towel, a mat, and some waste bags to get you started. There's an enclosed patio outside.

In the house there's a woodburning stove, wifi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them.

Up the road from the cottage is Llyn Crafnant, a lake about ten minutes' drive along the lanes. There's a path around it and a small tearoom by the water. The Gwydyr Forest is right there for walking or mountain biking.

Llanrwst is the nearest proper town, about three miles away. It's got supermarkets and shops. Betws-y-Coed is about six miles. It’s busy with outdoor shops and places to eat. From there you can get to Zip World Fforest or the Conwy Valley Railway.

You're in the Snowdonia National Park. Snowdon itself is about a 40 minute drive. Conwy, with its castle and walls, is about half an hour. Llandudno is roughly the same.
