The Barn At Gelli Newydd

The Barn at Gelli Newydd is in Trefriw, up on the hillside between Conwy and Betws-y-Coed. It's a detached barn conversion. The views from up there are across the Conwy Valley.

It sleeps seven in three bedrooms, but they've all got their own bathrooms, which is handy. There's a bedroom on the ground floor with a wet room, which can be set up as a super king or twins. The place has a 5 Star rating. It's been done to a high standard, lots of larch wood and stone. The kitchen is the main thing in the open plan living area.

The garden is enclosed at the back. It takes three dogs. There's a wood-fired hot tub, an electric vehicle charger, and bicycle storage.

You can walk down into Trefriw village. There are two pubs, a café, and a restaurant within walking distance. There's a post office shop and a good butcher. The woollen mill is worth a look.

From the door, you can join footpaths up to Llyn Geirionydd and Llyn Crafnant. They're two nice, quiet lakes. There's a community project called Trefriw Trails with waymarked walks and cycle routes.

For bigger days out, Betws-y-Coed is about ten minutes by car. Conwy and its castle are maybe fifteen minutes. Surf Snowdonia and the Zip World sites are within half an hour. For walking, the Carneddau and Glyderau ranges of Snowdonia National Park are right there.

Facilities: everything's included – bedding, towels, electricity. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, wood burner, TV, WiFi. Parking on site. They provide a cot and highchair.

The property is part of a small group with The Farmhouse and The Bothy next door, so you could book together for bigger groups.
