The Barn At Gelli Newydd

The Barn is in Trefriw, which is a village north of Betws-y-Coed. It's on a hillside, so the views over the Conwy Valley are very good. It's detached.

It sleeps seven. Three bedrooms, and three bathrooms, which is useful. One bedroom and a wet room are on the ground floor. The stairs are fine.

It's a 5 Star property. That means it's well-finished and has things like underfloor heating. The kitchen is nice. It's open plan.

The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs. You can bring up to three. There's parking on the drive and an electric vehicle charger.

In the village, there's a shop at the post office, a good butcher, and a woollen mill you can visit. There are two pubs and a café within walking distance.

You can start walks straight from the door. If you go uphill, you can get to Llyn Geirionydd and Llyn Crafnant. They're both nice lakes. Geirionydd has some watersports, Crafnant is quieter.

For bigger days out, Betws-y-Coed is about ten minutes south. Conwy and its castle are about twenty minutes north. Surf Snowdonia and the Zip World sites are within half an hour's drive. You need to book those in advance.

Facilities: it's got a woodburner, a BBQ, a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. The hot tub is outside.
