Sgubor Ucha is in Llanrhychwyn. It's a converted barn, detached. It's quite high up, so the views are pretty good. It's quiet. You're down a few small lanes to get here.
There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it sleeps six. It's got a five star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a decent standard.
The kitchen has a dishwasher, there's a washing machine, and the wood burning stove works. It gets a good fire going. We include all bedding and towels. There's plenty of parking right outside. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
The local pub and a shop are about a mile and a half away. But really, you're here for the area. The barn is right next to Gwydyr Forest Park, which is great for walking and mountain biking. There's a lake, Llyn Geirionnydd, you can walk to from here. The old church in the village, St Rhychwyn, is worth a look.
Betws-y-Coed is only four miles down the road. That's where you'll find most of the shops, cafes and places to eat. Conwy is under half an hour's drive. They've got the castle there and a harbour. Llandudno is also about thirty minutes, if you fancy the pier or the beach.
For bigger days out, you're on the edge of Snowdonia. Zip World Fforest is nearby for that treetop net adventure. Surf Snowdonia, the artificial wave pool, is in the Conwy Valley.
