Rose Cottage is in Betws y Coed, right in the middle of the village. It's semi-detached, one of the old railway cottages. It's been extended so it feels more spacious inside than you might think.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms and has two bathrooms, which is handy. There's parking for two cars right next to it. The best thing is you don't really need the car. The train station is basically next door.
The stairs are a bit steep, it's that kind of cottage. The garden is across a small path from the house. It's not right outside your door, but it's yours to use. It's a good size and you get a nice view across the valley.
Inside, there's a games room with a football table and air hockey. That's in the extension.
You're a couple of minutes walk from the shops and pubs. There are plenty of places to eat. For walking, you can go straight from the door along the river or into Gwydyr Forest. The Snowdonia National Park site has good maps.
Zip World Fforest is in walking distance too, if that's your sort of thing. For a day out, Blaenau Ffestiniog is about a 30 minute drive. That's where the big Zip World Titan is, and Bounce Below. You can get the train there as well. Llanberis, for the Snowdon Mountain Railway and the National Slate Museum, is about half an hour by car. The coast at Llandudno is also about 30 minutes.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
