Gwernol

Gwernol is in Dolwyddelan, in the Conwy valley. It's an end-terraced cottage, right on the edge of the village. You're in Snowdonia National Park, so the mountains are all around you.

The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, but it's an old place so mind your head on the beams upstairs.

Downstairs is all open plan. There's an open fire and a multi-fuel stove, so you can get a proper fire going. We leave some wood for you to start with. The kitchen has what you need. Outside there's a patio with a bit of garden.

You can walk straight from the door. There's a quiet valley called Cwm Penamnen just behind the cottage. Dolwyddelan Castle is a short walk up the hill. It's a proper Welsh castle, not a big ruin. The village has a shop and a pub about five minutes walk away.

You're well placed for getting about. Betws-y-Coed is ten minutes by car for shops and cafes. Blaenau Ffestiniog is about fifteen minutes the other way, for Bounce Below and Zip World. You can get the train from the village station if you don't want to drive, it goes to Betws-y-Coed and Llandudno.

We allow one well-behaved dog. There's bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi and TV.
