This is Maybill Cottage. It's in Cwm Penmachno, up the Machno Valley in Snowdonia. It's the last house in a small terrace of three. You're right on the edge of the village, with fields behind.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom with a shower. The living room is a good size and has the wood burner. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-kept. The stairs to the first floor are fairly standard, but the step down into the main bedroom is quite deep, so just watch your step.
There's a small enclosed patio garden out the back, with a table and chairs. You get one parking space on the gravel out the front.
The location is very quiet and rural. There's a pub in Penmachno, about three miles back down the valley. The nearest shop is about eight miles away in Betws-y-Coed, so you'll want to bring your food with you.
You can walk straight from the door into the hills. For mountain biking, the Marin Trail and others are close by. The big downhill trails are at Blaenau Ffestiniog, which is about a 20-minute drive.
Betws-y-Coed has shops, cafes, and access to the Gwydyr Forest paths. It's 15 minutes by car. Conwy and its castle are about 40 minutes away. Llandudno is a bit further, maybe 45 minutes. Portmeirion and the Ffestiniog Railway are roughly 40 minutes drive.
The facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, a cot and highchair if needed, bedding and towels are included. Sorry, no pets.
