You can drive to Betws-y-Coed in about twenty minutes. That's the gateway to Snowdonia National Park. Porthmadog is about half an hour. That's where you get the Welsh Highland Railway and Black Rock Sands beach. Harlech, with its castle and beach, is also about half an hour away. The coast is about thirteen miles.
The local area has fishing and there's a golf course nearby.
