Meredith Cottage
This is Meredith Cottage. It's in Dolwyddelan, which is a small village right in Snowdonia. The cottage itself is a 19th century semi-detached stone place. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and has what you need, but it's not a show home. It's a proper old cottage. The stairs are quite steep, so you'll want to be careful.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a garden out the back that's just for you, and parking on site. Inside there's a wood burning stove, a washing machine, WiFi and a TV. Bedding is included, and we've got a cot and highchair if you need them.
The village shop and a pub are about a two minute walk away. The pub does food. The Dolwyddelan train station is also close, if you fancy leaving the car.
You can walk straight out the door into the hills. For bigger days out, Betws-y-Coed is a short drive and has shops and cafes. Blaenau Ffestiniog is about five miles away. That's where all the adventure stuff is: Bounce Below, Zip World, and the mountain bike trails. The Ffestiniog Railway starts there too.
Other things within about half an hour include Conwy Falls, Surf Snowdonia, and Llandudno for the pier and the seaside. Portmeirion is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes.
