Nant Y Crogwyn

Nant Y Crogwyn is our family's place in Penmachno. It's detached and surrounded by fields. The views are just fields and hills.

It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is about right. It's comfortable and clean, not modern or fancy. The stairs are normal.

There's a wood burner in the living room. It works well. The conservatory is a good spot to sit, even if it's raining. You can see the garden from there.

The garden is partly enclosed. There's a gate at the side that leads to a low-level stream in the field. It's nice for a paddle or a picnic, but it's not always accessible if there are animals grazing. You'll need to check the gate on the day.

Sometimes there are horses in the next field. They're friendly.

In the village, there's a shop for basics and a local pub. Both are a short drive away. Betws-y-Coed is about ten minutes by car. That's where you'll find more shops, places to eat, and a golf course.

If you like walking, you can go straight from the door. For cycling, the Penmachno mountain bike trails start very close by. The bigger Marin trails at Gwydir Forest are a little further down the valley.

The coast, like Llandudno, is about forty minutes' drive if you want a beach day.

Facilities: it's got a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking for a few cars. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot. You can bring up to two dogs. The entrance is step-free.
