Trem Y Cwm

Trem Y Cwm is a barn we converted, up near Capel Garmon. It's semi-detached, part of a small farm courtyard. The views from up here are good, straight down the valley to the mountains.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both on the ground floor, and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well finished and comfortable. Underfloor heating, a log burner, that sort of thing. It's very warm in winter.

The water comes from our own spring. We generate some electricity from the stream too. It's not off-grid, but it's a bit different.

If you've got children, they can come and see the farm animals. They can collect eggs for breakfast if they want. It's a working smallholding, so there are chickens and sheep about.

The kitchen is a decent size and has everything you'd need. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. You can bring two dogs. The garden is yours to use, with a BBQ and furniture.

Location wise, you're high up and it feels quiet. You're just on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. Betws-y-Coed is about ten minutes drive for shops and cafes. Llanrwst is a bit closer.

For a big day out, you can be in the heart of Snowdonia around Capel Curig or at the foot of Tryfan in maybe twenty five minutes. The coast at Conwy or Llandudno is about half an hour's drive.
