This is Y Llaethdy. It's one of three cottages here at Benar, up on the hillside above Penmachno. It's all on one floor, so no stairs to worry about.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern, clean and warm. There's underfloor heating and a woodburner for the evenings.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the valley. The patio gets the sun in the afternoon. You can sit out there with a coffee.
You're right in Eryri National Park. The back gate opens onto miles of proper walking and mountain bike trails. You don't need to drive anywhere to start a hike. If you're into birds, you'll see plenty from the garden.
Betws-y-Coed is about three miles down the road. That's where the shops are, and a few places to eat. The pub in Penmachno village is a mile away, they do food.
If you want to go further, Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) is about 25 minutes by car. There are loads of castles nearby, like Conwy. The coast at Llandudno is within 20 miles. Bodnant Garden is a bit further, but it's worth the drive if you like that sort of thing.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. There's bike storage undercover. You can park right outside. There's an electric vehicle charger. It's wheelchair friendly, with level access from the parking area into the cottage. We can put a cot in if you need one. No pets, sorry.
