Benar Cottages - Y Llaethdy
This is Y Llaethdy. It's one of three cottages here called Benar Cottages, up on the hillside in Penmachno. It's all on one floor, which is good if you don't fancy stairs.
It's for four people. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a four star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the valley. Because we're in Eryri National Park, you can just step out the door and onto the footpaths. The mountain bike trails start here too. If you're bringing bikes, there's storage.
The layout is open plan. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. It has a dishwasher, wifi, and parking right outside. There's an electric vehicle charger if you need it. The garden and patio are yours to use, with a barbecue.
The local pub is about a mile down the lane. It does food. For a bigger shop or more places to eat, Betws-y-Coed is three miles away. It's got outdoor shops, a bakery, that sort of thing.
You're right in the middle of it for walks or biking. Yr Wyddfa is about 25 minutes by car. For a day out, Conwy Castle and Bodnant Garden are within a half hour drive. Llandudno is a bit further. If you fancy a steam train, there are a few narrow-gauge railways not too far away.
It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance and everything's on the ground floor. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot. No pets, I'm afraid.
