Eirianfa

Eirianfa is in Penmachno, a small village inside the Snowdonia National Park. It's a stone terraced cottage, so you'll share a wall with the neighbour. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom.

It's got a 4 Star rating. What that means is it's comfortable and well-equipped, but it's still a cottage. It's beamed inside and has a wood burner, which is nice when it's cold.

The layout is on three floors, which is a bit quirky. The kitchen's on the lower ground floor and it leads out to the garden. The garden is enclosed and bigger than you might think, with a lawn and a patio. Upstairs, the living room has a balcony that looks over the garden and the fields.

You can bring two dogs. The pub is about two hundred yards down the road in the village. There's a small village shop too, but check its opening times. For a bigger shop, you'd go to Betws-y-Coed, which is about four miles away. They've got cafes and outdoor shops there.

You're right in the park here, so the walking and mountain biking from the door is very good. For other things, you're well-placed. The Zip World sites and the Surf Snowdonia lagoon are all within half an hour's drive. The coast, like Llandudno or Conwy, is about a 30 to 40 minute drive.

For facilities, it's got what you'd expect: wifi, a TV, a washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. Electricity is in the price. There's off-road parking.
