Bryn Amlwg is just outside Llanrwst. It's a detached stone cottage on a quiet lane. You're only a few steps from the River Conwy back there. You can sit on the grass by the water or walk along the path.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms. One has a double bed, the other has bunks. Everything's on the ground floor. There's one shower room.
It's a Grade II listed building, so the walls are thick stone and the layout is old-fashioned. The doors are low in places. The floor isn't level everywhere, but it's solid. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.
The kitchen has what you need. TV and WiFi are there. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking outside.
Right next to the cottage, practically in your garden, is Ty Hwnt I'r Bont. It's a very old black and white tea house owned by the National Trust. They do tea and cakes. It's literally over your garden wall.
For a bigger lake, Geirionydd is about five minutes' drive. You can paddleboard or kayak there. The Marin bike trails are very close if you've brought bikes. Betws-y-Coed is ten minutes away for shops and cafes.
Conwy is about twenty minutes by car. It's a walled town with a castle. The harbour is there. Snowdonia is on your doorstep for walking. It's all very straightforward from here.
