Stabal Rhoswen

Stabal Rhoswen is in Llan Ffestiniog. It's up on a hillside on a working sheep farm. It's a converted stone stable block, set apart from the farmhouse. You're the only ones here.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one with twin beds. They both have a view out over the valley to the mountains. One bathroom upstairs, plus a downstairs toilet. The stairs are a standard flight, no surprises.

The kitchen is a good size and everything works. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine in the utility bit. The lounge is comfortable, with a decent sofa and that same view. Heating and electricity are included.

Outside, there are two sitting areas. One is an enclosed patio, the other is covered. Both have the same big view. The parking is right there.

You're between Blaenau Ffestiniog and Trawsfynydd. The place is really for being outdoors. The farm land joins onto walking routes straight from the door. For mountain biking, the Antur Stiniog downhill trails are just down the road in Blaenau.

Llechwedd Slate Caverns and Zip World Titan are about ten minutes away by car. Porthmadog, with the Ffestiniog Railway and Black Rock Sands beach, is about a twenty-five minute drive. Harlech Castle and its beach is about half an hour.

Betws-y-Coed is twenty minutes south. That's a good starting point for Snowdonia. The Snowdonia National Park website has walking maps. For the local history, Easy on the Eye in Blaenau does good tours of the slate mines.

Facilities are all as listed. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry, because of the farm sheep.
