Hafan Prysor is in Trawsfynydd, in the Snowdonia National Park. It's on a working farm, so you'll see sheep in the fields around. It's a stone cottage for two people.
It’s got a five star rating. It's very comfortable and well-equipped, but it's still a cottage. It feels spacious because of the high ceilings, especially upstairs. The bedroom has a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room. The stairs are a typical cottage spiral staircase. They're not difficult, but you need to be a bit careful.
Downstairs is one big room, with the lounge, dining table and kitchen all together. It's got a dishwasher and washing machine. You get your own garden with a patio, a table and chairs, and a BBQ. There's parking right outside.
The location is the main thing. You can walk straight out of the door into the hills or along the river. The main Coed-y-Brenin mountain bike centre is about ten minutes away by car. Blaenau Ffestiniog is about fifteen minutes in the other direction, for Zip World or Bounce Below.
You can drive to beaches like Harlech or Black Rock Sands in under half an hour. Dolgellau is a nice market town, about twenty minutes away, for shops and cafes. Barmouth is a bit further, maybe thirty-five minutes.
There's WiFi, but it's rural WiFi. It's fine for checking emails, but it's not super fast. Mobile signal can be patchy depending on your network, which is pretty normal up here.
