Hen Dy

Hen Dy is near Brymbo in the Conwy Valley. It's a detached stone cottage on our working farm. You've got your own garden, which is enclosed. There's parking right outside.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both en-suite. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done to a high standard. Everything is new and works properly.

Being a farm, you get the views and the quiet. You might see the sheep or hear a tractor. Sometimes there's a smell, it's a farm.

Inside, there's a wood burner in the living room. We provide logs. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. WiFi is good. There's an electric vehicle charger if you need it.

The layout is straightforward. Both bedrooms are upstairs. The stairs are fine, but we've put a stairgate at the top because it drops straight down from the landing. Important if you've got little ones.

The nearest shop and pub are about a mile away in the village. They're decent.

For getting out, you can walk straight from the door onto local paths. Bodnant Garden is very close, probably the main reason people book. It's National Trust. Conwy is ten minutes by car. Go for the castle and the walls. Llandudno is about twenty minutes. It's a proper Victorian seaside town with a pier and the Great Orme.

If you want to go surfing but don't fancy the sea, Surf Snowdonia is in the valley, maybe fifteen minutes away. It's an artificial lake.

Snowdonia is on the doorstep. Betws-y-Coed is twenty minutes. The Carneddau mountains are half an hour.

Useful links: National Trust Wales and Snowdonia National Park Authority.

We don't take pets, sorry. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
