Barters Cottage is in Chideock, Dorset. It's one of a pair of cottages in a big, shared garden that looks over fields. There's a lawn out the front.
It's got two bedrooms and sleeps four. One bathroom. It's a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and has everything you need. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, so they turn a bit and have a low beam at the top you need to mind your head on.
You're about a mile from the coast here. The path down to the beach is a proper walk, it's not just a stroll. But once you're there, you're on the Jurassic Coast. Golden Cap, which is the highest cliff on the south coast, is right there. It's National Trust land.
In the village, about three-quarters of a mile away, there's a shop and a couple of pubs. They're friendly. Bridport is three miles east for a bigger shop and a leisure centre. Lyme Regis is ten miles west for the harbour and fossil hunting.
The facilities are all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed.
If you don't want to drive, the Jurassic Coast bus goes through Chideock village. There's also a farm shop nearby with good views.
For planning days out, the National Trust Dorset site is useful, and the official Jurassic Coast page has maps and information.
