Farthings is in Bothenhampton village, just over a mile from Bridport. It's in the west wing of an old country house, semi-detached from two other cottages. You get your own entrance and parking.
It's a studio for two people. One room with a bed and living space, and a separate bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and functional rather than luxurious. It's open plan, so it's all one space apart from the bathroom.
The hill behind the house has badger setts and a lot of wildlife. It's a quiet spot.
Bridport has a market twice a week. West Bay harbour and the beach are about a mile and a half away. That's where they filmed Broadchurch. The coast path is right there for walking. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline here.
Within half an hour you've got Lyme Regis and the Cobb, fossil hunting at Charmouth, Chesil Beach, and Dorchester. Abbotsbury Swannery is about twenty minutes away.
The village has a shop and a pub, both about three quarters of a mile walk. There's a local golf course and you can hire bikes in Bridport.
Facilities: everything's included - electricity, bedding, towels. There's a shower, TV, WiFi, and parking. No pets.
For planning trips: Visit Dorset and the Jurassic Coast Trust websites are useful.
