Purcombe Farmhouse is on our working farm here in Whitchurch Canonicorum. It's semi-detached, the other side is a holiday let too. It sleeps twelve, so it's big. Six bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The garden is large, with a lawn and good views over the Marshwood Vale. There's a covered area outside with a barbecue.
You're on a farm, so you'll see tractors and hear animals. The stairs are fine, but there's a stairgate at the top if you need it. We've put in an electric vehicle charger.
The coast is about two and a half miles away as the crow flies, but the drive is a bit longer because of the lanes. You can get to Lyme Regis or Charmouth in about fifteen minutes by car. They're good for fossils. Bridport and West Bay are about the same drive the other way.
For walking, the South West Coast Path is right there. Golden Cap is close and the views from the top are worth the climb. Inland, Forde Abbey is worth a visit.
The nearest pub that does food is a mile and a half away. The shop is in Morcombelake, about three miles.
Facilities-wise: it's got all the basics - washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to three dogs. There's parking for several cars right outside.
