Purcombe Farmhouse is on our working farm, south of Whitchurch Canonicorum. It's a semi-detached place, the other half is used by the farm. It sleeps twelve across six bedrooms, with three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's big and solid, good for a few families.
The garden is large and enclosed. You get a good view over the Marshwood Vale from there. There's a patio with a covered area for a barbecue.
It's a quiet spot. The closest pub is about a mile and a half away. The shop is in the village, about three miles. You'll need a car.
You're about two and a half miles from the coast. Lyme Regis is to the west, Bridport and West Bay to the east. Charmouth beach is good for fossils. The coastal path is right there if you want to walk. Golden Cap is the high point, the views are worth it.
Further along the coast there's Abbotsbury with its swannery and subtropical gardens. Inland, Forde Abbey has the gardens. The Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovil is about half an hour's drive. For a rainy day, Bridport has a leisure centre with a pool.
The house has a woodburning stove, WiFi, TV, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's an electric vehicle charger. You can bring up to three dogs. We provide a cot, highchair and stairgate.
