The Grain Store
The Grain Store is a converted stone building on the Marshwood Manor estate. It's one of a few cottages here. You've got your own patio with a table and chairs, and you can also use the wider gardens and grounds. It's quiet. You're down a private drive.
It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable, not overly fancy. There's a wood burner in the living area. The space is open plan downstairs.
You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside. There's also a shared games room with table tennis.
The local shop is in Marshwood village, a couple of miles away. There are two thatched pubs a short drive from here. They do food.
The Dorset coast is about five miles. Lyme Regis and Charmouth are the closest beaches. That whole stretch from Lyme Regis to Burton Bradstock is good for walking, fossil hunting, or just a day by the sea. The Golden Cap estate is National Trust land and the cliffs are high.
Inland, it's good walking country. There are hill forts you can see. Bridport is a proper market town about 20 minutes by car. It's got shops and a leisure centre with a pool. Lyme Regis has a harbour and you can hire boats.
