Bergerac Cottage is in a group of converted stone barns just outside Lyme Regis. It's a mile from the town but feels properly rural, surrounded by fields. You'll see deer and badgers sometimes.
It sleeps four. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and has what you need. Everything's included: bedding, towels, electricity.
There's a sunny patio out the front with a table and chairs. It looks out over a pond and the fields. Very peaceful.
You can walk into Lyme Regis. It's about twenty-five minutes downhill through the fields and along the river. It's a nice walk but remember it's uphill on the way back. Driving takes four minutes. There's parking here.
Lyme itself is a proper old seaside town. A nice harbour, some good fish and chips, independent shops. The beach is famous for fossils. You can hire boats or just walk the Cobb. The Jurassic Coast starts there.
Within half an hour you can drive to Bridport, or go the other way towards Exeter. The Golden Cap estate is nearby if you want a big walk with great views. It's National Trust.
In the cottage you've got a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. The layout is open plan. There's golf nearby if that's your thing.
No pets, I'm afraid.
