Shepherds Knapp Lodge

This is Shepherds Knapp Lodge. It's a detached, single-storey lodge at Raymond's Hill, near Axminster. The views are good. It's proper countryside.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one's a double and the other has twin singles. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is on the ground floor and the entrance is wheelchair accessible, but you'd want to check the specifics if that's important for your group.

The living space is open plan. Kitchen, dining table, and a large corner sofa. There's a TV. Doors open out to the garden, which is enclosed. You can fit two well-behaved dogs.

It's quiet here. The nearest pub is about a mile away. For a shop, you're looking at two and a half miles to Axminster. The town has the River Cottage Kitchen deli and a train station.

The coast is about a ten minute drive. Lyme Regis is the closest, with its Cobb harbour and sandy beach. West Bay, with the cliffs, is about twenty minutes. For a longer day out, Exeter is under an hour's drive.

The place is on the edge of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Good for walking. There's golf and horse riding nearby if you're into that.

Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, WiFi, washing machine, parking. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
