Poirot Cottage is one of four cottages in a converted stone barn about a mile from Lyme Regis. It's out in the fields, so it's quiet. You get your own patio looking over a pond.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The other cottages here are Colombo, Clouseau, and Bergerac. You can book them together if you're a bigger group.
You can drive into town in a few minutes. Or there's a footpath that follows the river. It takes about 25 minutes on foot, but it's downhill going in. Remember it's uphill coming back.
Lyme Regis is a small town with the harbour, some shops, and places to eat. The beach and the famous Cobb are there. The whole coast here is part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
For walking, you're right on the South West Coast Path. The National Trust owns a lot of the coastline nearby, including Golden Cap, which is the highest point on the south coast.
Within half an hour's drive you can get to Bridport, Charmouth, and Seatown. Further afield, places like Dorchester or Exeter are maybe 45 minutes.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. It's family-friendly, we have a cot and a highchair and a stairgate. No pets, sorry.
