Poirot Cottage
Poirot Cottage is in a group of old stone barns just outside Lyme Regis. It's about a mile from the town and the beach.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not luxurious. You get your own patio at the front which looks out over a pond and fields. We get deer and badgers in the fields sometimes.
To get into Lyme Regis, you can drive it in a few minutes. Or there's a nice footpath that goes through the fields and along the river. That takes about 25 minutes. It's downhill going there, so remember it's uphill coming back.
Lyme itself is a proper seaside town. There's a small harbour, a sandy beach, and the famous Cobb wall. The town streets are narrow and a bit steep in places. There are plenty of places to eat and drink. It's famous for fossils, so you might find one on the beach if you look.
The cottage has a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. There's parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
If you want to explore, the South West Coast Path is right there. The Golden Cap is the highest cliff on the south coast and it's part of the National Trust estate there. You can drive to Bridport, Charmouth, or Seatown quite easily. Exeter and Dorchester are about an hour away.
