Yew Tree House

Yew Tree House is in Chideock. It's the main part of our house. We live in a separate annexe next door. You'll have the whole place to yourselves.

It sleeps seven, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. The garden is big and enclosed, with a patio that looks over fields. You can see footpaths leading down to the coast at Seatown.

The stairs are fine. There's a woodburning stove for the colder months. We've got a cot, a highchair, and a stairgate.

There's a shop about 300 yards away. A pub and a restaurant are maybe 400 yards. They're both good.

You can walk across the fields to Seatown beach, which takes about 20 minutes. From there, you can walk up to Golden Cap. It's the highest point on the south coast. Lyme Regis is about four miles west. It's got the Cobb harbour, shops, and places to eat. Bridport and West Bay are a couple of miles east.

For a longer day out, you could drive to Forde Abbey, which is about half an hour inland. Or go to the Tank Museum at Bovington, which is also around 30 minutes.

We take up to two dogs. The parking is on site. Bedding and towels are included.

Here are a couple of useful sites if you're looking into the area: Jurassic Coast and National Trust Dorset.
