Yew Tree House

Yew Tree House is in Chideock. It's the main part of our detached house, with an annexe attached that we use. The house sleeps seven, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable and properly equipped.

You get a large, enclosed garden with a patio that looks out over the fields. There are footpaths from the garden that go straight down to the coast at Seatown, which is about a mile's walk. From there you can walk up to Golden Cap, which is the highest point on the south coast.

In the village, there's a shop about 300 yards away and a pub and restaurant about 400 yards. They're both good.

The coast is what you're here for. West Bay and Bridport are a few minutes east. Lyme Regis is about ten minutes west. You can fossil hunt on the beaches there. Inland, places like Forde Abbey are about half an hour's drive.

For facilities, it's got what you'd need: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, a woodburner, and parking on site. We can take up to two dogs. It's suitable for families and we've got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if needed. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the house itself isn't single-storey so do check with us if that's a concern.
