It's called Swiss Cottage and it's in Chideock. A proper Dorset village, a few streets and a good pub. It's a thatched cottage, detached. It's old and listed, so it's full of character. That also means some of the windows are single-glazed.
It sleeps six, in four bedrooms. There's a decent family bathroom upstairs and a shower room downstairs. You can bring up to two dogs.
The main thing to know is the stairs. They're steep, narrow, and spiral. There's a handrail but it's low. If you've got bad knees or small children, you just need to be aware. Once you're up there, it's fine.
Downstairs, the sitting room has a step down into a little enclosed courtyard. There's a covered well out there, it's secure but you can see it. The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs.
You're about a ten minute walk from the beach at Seatown. It's shingle. The Jurassic Coast path is right there. Golden Cap is the big hill behind it, the views from the top are worth the walk.
Lyme Regis is about ten minutes in the car. The Cobb, the harbour, fossil shops. Bridport is the other way, maybe five minutes. They've got a good market. There's a shop and the pub in the village, 400 yards or so.
Inside, it's got what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, wood burner. TV and WiFi. Parking for two cars on the gravel outside. Bedding and towels are included. We leave a cot and a highchair there too.
