Samphire Cottage
Samphire Cottage is in Lyme Regis. It's about a five minute walk down into the town centre and the front. The house has a bit of a view down the hill towards the sea.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is a wet room on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs or kids. It gets the sun in the afternoon. There's a wood burning stove for cooler evenings, and a barbecue.
You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi.
Lyme itself is right there. The Cobb, the beach, the shops and cafes are all a short walk downhill. Fossil hunting on the beach is the main thing for kids. The South West Coast Path goes right through town if you want a walk. National Trust Devon has a lot of information about the local coast and Golden Cap.
Within half an hour's drive you've got Bridport and West Bay, Charmouth beach, and the market in Axminster. Exeter is about 45 minutes away if you need a bigger city or the airport.
