The Pocker Watch

The Pocker Watch is in Seatown. It's detached, which is nice. You're about a fifty yard walk from the beach. The pub is just down the road.

It's a cottage conversion, which means it's compact. It sleeps two. There's one bedroom, but the bathroom is an ensuite off it. It's got a 3 Star rating. Everything's clean and it works.

You can have one dog. There's parking right there.

The building is old, part of the old Admiralty buildings. It's from 1812. The walls are thick. You can hear the sea when it's rough.

The beach is sand and shingle. Good for fishing. People find fossils there. The coastal path is right there. You can walk to Golden Cap from the door. It's the highest point on the south coast.

Bridport is ten minutes by car. It's a market town. West Bay, where they filmed Broadchurch, is about five minutes away. Lyme Regis is twenty minutes along the coast.

Facilities: all the bedding and towels are there. Shower, not a bath. Heating and electricity are included.

If you're planning trips, the National Trust looks after a lot of the coast here. The official Jurassic Coast site has maps and information.
