Sweet Briar

Sweet Briar is in Bothenhampton, just outside Bridport. It's not one house, it's part of an old country house split into a few cottages. You've got neighbours but it's quiet.

It sleeps three, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable but still feels like a cottage. The garden is enclosed and there's parking on the drive.

Inside, there's a washing machine and a dishwasher. WiFi and TV are sorted. Towels and bedding are included.

The village is peaceful. You're about three quarters of a mile from the local shop and pub. Bridport town centre is a mile away. It's got a good market twice a week.

West Bay is also about a mile. That's the harbour you might know from Broadchurch. The beach there is shingle. The start of the Jurassic Coast is right there.

If you want to walk, you're surrounded by National Trust land and it's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The hill behind the house has badger setts. You see a lot of wildlife.

Within half an hour you can drive to Lyme Regis and the Cobb. Charmouth for fossils is close. Chesil Beach starts at West Bay and stretches for miles. Dorchester is about twenty minutes inland for history. Abbotsbury Swannery is a short drive too, that's worth a visit.

You can bring pets, up to three.
