Myrtle Cottage

Myrtle Cottage is in Puncknowle, a village in Dorset. It's a thatched cottage, one of a row, on a quiet lane. It sleeps seven. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms.

The rating is 4 Star. It's a comfortable, well-equipped house. The kitchen and living area are open plan, and there's a separate sitting room too. The layout works well for a group.

There are two pubs in the village, both within walking distance. The nearest bit of the coast, the Jurassic Coast, is about three miles away. West Bay is close, and Bridport isn't far either. For a longer walk, Golden Cap is worth the climb.

Further out, within about half an hour's drive, you've got places like the Cerne Abbas Giant, run by English Heritage. Bovington Tank Museum and Monkey World are in that direction too.

Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for two cars on the driveway. Bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs.

Some things to note: it's a thatched roof, so it's a proper old cottage. The doorways and some internal spaces are a bit tighter than a modern house. The entrance and a downstairs toilet are wheelchair accessible, but due to the age of the building, full access inside isn't guaranteed.
