This is Woodpecker. It's one of a group of cottages in Shipton Gorge. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The cottage is at the back of the main house, on the ground floor. The patio and garden are yours. It's enclosed, which is good for dogs. You can have up to two pets.
Inside it's open plan. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
The pub is about a hundred yards away. It's a village pub, does food and they serve Palmers ales. The village playing field is next to it.
You're about a mile and a half from the coast. Burton Bradstock beach is that way, with a cafe. West Bay is two miles. That's the harbour you'll know from Broadchurch. The Jurassic Coast is right there for walking. Bridport is two miles for shops and the market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Further afield, Abbotsbury is three miles. They've got the swannery and subtropical gardens there. For a day out, the National Trust has lots of places nearby like Golden Cap. The Tank Museum at Bovington is about a half hour drive.
There's parking here. There's also a shared games room in an outbuilding with a pool table and table tennis, which is handy if the weather's bad.
